Bumps

What are bumps?

Bumps are credits you use to play the game. Each bump, when spent on a product, does two things: it reveals the current hidden count on that product, and decrements that count by exactly 1. The player whose bump drops the count to 0 wins the product.

How much do bumps cost?

Bumps are sold in packs of 100 for $10 USDC — that works out to $0.10 per bump. All payments are made in USDC on the Solana blockchain. We don't accept credit cards, debit cards, or any other payment method.

Can I buy more than 100 bumps at a time?

Currently, bumps are sold in single packs of 100 for $10 USDC each. You can make multiple purchases to accumulate a larger balance. Your bump balance rolls over indefinitely — unused bumps never expire.

Do bumps expire?

No. Bumps have no expiry date. Once purchased, they stay in your account until you spend them. There's no time pressure to use them up.

Products

What products are available?

BumpZero currently features Solana-themed merchandise: t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, beanies, and caps. New products are added regularly. Every product listed is a physical item that will be shipped to the winner.

When do new products drop?

New products are listed without a fixed schedule — we add them as they become available. Follow @bumpzero on Twitter or check the homepage regularly to see new listings. Products go live immediately when listed.

Can I see how close a product is to zero?

Not without spending a bump. The count is hidden by design — it's the core game mechanic. When you spend a bump on a product, you briefly see the count after your decrement. That's the only way to get current information about a product's countdown.

How does shipping work?

When you win a product, you'll receive an email notification at your BumpZero account email address. We'll ask you to confirm your shipping address within 7 days. Products are dispatched within 5–7 business days after address confirmation. Shipping is free to US addresses. International shipping may be available for select products — this will be noted in the product listing.

Solana & USDC

What wallet do I need?

You need a Solana-compatible wallet that can hold and send USDC. We recommend Phantom (phantom.app) — it's free, takes about 5 minutes to set up, and has both a browser extension and a mobile app. Backpack and Solflare are also compatible. You'll need to fund your wallet with USDC before you can buy bumps.

What is USDC?

USDC (USD Coin) is a stablecoin issued by Circle. One USDC is always worth exactly one US dollar — it's pegged to the USD and backed 1:1 by dollar reserves. Unlike Bitcoin or Solana, USDC doesn't fluctuate in value, so $10 in USDC is always $10. It's the most common way to make dollar-value payments on Solana.

Why do you only accept USDC? Why not credit cards?

Credit card fees (typically 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) make $0.10 micropayments economically unworkable — a payment processor would consume most of the transaction value in fees. Solana transactions cost roughly $0.0005, making them ideal for small payments. USDC also settles instantly, so your bump balance updates in seconds rather than days.

Winning

How is the winner determined?

The winner is the player whose bump brings the count from exactly 1 to exactly 0. There can only be one winner per product. BumpZero uses an atomic database decrement — every bump spend is processed as a single, locked transaction so it's impossible for two players to both claim zero at the same moment.

What if my transaction fails when I'm trying to bump?

If your Solana Pay transaction fails to confirm on-chain (e.g. due to a network issue or wallet rejection), no bump is deducted from your balance and the product count is not decremented. You can try again. If your balance appears incorrect after a failed transaction, contact support@bumpzero.com with the transaction details.
