The game explained

How BumpZero Works

BumpZero is a count-to-zero game. Buy bumps, spend them on products, and the player who drops the hidden count to exactly zero wins the product — shipped to their door.

The Game Loop

01

Buy bumps

Purchase bump credits using USDC on the Solana network. 100 bumps cost $10 USDC — that's $0.10 per bump. Connect your Phantom wallet, approve the Solana Pay transaction, and your bumps appear in your account within seconds.

02

Spend a bump

Browse live products and spend a bump on one you want to win. Each bump you spend does two things: it reveals the current count on that product, and decrements it by one. You'll see the count for just a moment — then it hides again for the next player.

03

Hit zero, win

The player whose bump takes the count from 1 to 0 wins the product outright. No bidding wars, no time extensions, no second chances — whoever hits zero gets the product shipped to them. You'll be notified immediately by email.

Buying Bumps

Bumps are purchased in packs of 100 for $10 USDC. USDC is a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar — one USDC equals one dollar, always. You pay in USDC via Solana Pay, which means transactions settle in under a second and cost less than a fraction of a cent in network fees.

To buy bumps, you need a Solana wallet loaded with USDC. We recommend Phantom (available as a browser extension and mobile app). Once your wallet is connected, click Buy bumps in the navigation bar, review the payment, and approve the transaction in Phantom. Your bump balance updates automatically.

There's no subscription, no monthly fee, and no required purchase size beyond the 100-bump minimum. Buy once and use your bumps across any products, at any pace.

Why Is the Count Hidden?

The hidden count is the core mechanic of BumpZero. If everyone could see the live count at all times, players would simply wait until the count was 1 and pile in simultaneously — destroying the game's tension and fairness. Hiding the count means every bump is a genuine decision: do you have the information to act, or are you spending blind?

Here's how information works in BumpZero: when you spend a bump, you briefly see the count after your decrement. So if you spend a bump and see 47, you know the count was 48 before you bumped, and it's now 47. Nobody else saw that — and you won't see it again until you spend another bump.

This creates a game of tension, memory, and strategy. Players who bump more see more information. Players who bump at the right time can position themselves closer to zero. But nobody ever has perfect information — which is what makes it exciting.

How We Guarantee Fairness

When hundreds of players bump the same product at the same time, the obvious question is: what happens if two players try to hit zero simultaneously? BumpZero handles this with an atomic database decrement.

Every bump spend is processed as a single, indivisible database transaction. When your bump is submitted, the system locks the count row, decrements it by exactly 1, checks if the new count is 0, and releases the lock — all in a single operation. This means it is technically impossible for two players to both decrement to zero. One request wins the lock first; the other processes after. Only one player can ever be the one to drop the count to exactly 0.

The winner is determined by timing at the database level — not by who clicked fastest on screen, but by whose bump request was processed first by our servers. This is the same fairness model used by flash-sale systems that handle millions of concurrent buyers.

What You Win and How You Get It

Every product on BumpZero is Solana-themed merchandise — tees, hoodies, mugs, beanies, caps, and similar items. These are physical goods that ship to your door. When you win, you'll receive an email notification immediately asking you to confirm your shipping address. Products are dispatched within 5–7 business days and shipping is free.

Products are listed with a name, description, and photo before the game starts. The only thing that's hidden is the starting count — everything else is transparent. Once a product is won, it's marked as won on the site and the winner is displayed publicly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the minimum I can spend?

One bump costs $0.10 USD (paid in USDC on Solana). Bumps are sold in packs of 100 for $10 USDC, so the minimum purchase is $10, which gives you 100 bumps to use across any products you like.

Can I win multiple products?

Yes. There's no limit to the number of products you can win. Each product has its own independent countdown, so you can spend bumps on as many products as you want simultaneously. If your bump hits zero on two different products at the same time, you win both.

Is the countdown rigged?

No. The countdown is set when a product is listed and is never changed afterward. The starting count is fixed in the database before the game begins. We have no way to move the goalposts once players are bumping. The only thing that changes the count is a player spending a bump.

How do I receive my product?

When your bump hits zero, you'll receive an email notification at the address on your BumpZero account. We'll ask you to confirm a shipping address and your product will be dispatched within 5–7 business days. Shipping is included in the win — there's no extra cost to claim your prize.

What wallet do I need?

You need a Solana-compatible wallet that supports USDC. Phantom (phantom.app) is the most popular and what we recommend — it takes about five minutes to set up and is free. Backpack and Solflare also work. You'll need to fund it with USDC before you can buy bumps.

Are bumps refundable?

No. All bump purchases are final and non-refundable. This is disclosed clearly before you purchase, and it's consistent with the nature of the game — once a bump is spent to reveal a count and decrement it, that action is permanent on both our database and the Solana blockchain.

What if I run out of bumps mid-game?

If you run out of bumps before a product hits zero, you can buy more at any time from your account dashboard. There's no penalty for buying at any point — your new bumps are added instantly after the Solana transaction confirms (usually under 10 seconds).

How do I know the count is fair?

BumpZero uses an atomic database decrement for every bump spend. This means the system processes bump spends one at a time in strict order — it's physically impossible for two players to both decrement the count at the same instant and both claim zero. One player wins, and only one. The winning transaction is logged with a timestamp so there's a clear, auditable record.
